Braves Suffer Set Back In Slippery Rock Game 21-31
“We certainly didn’t play with the energy and emotion we needed to beat a good team like Slippery Rock,” lamented CA coach David Neiman. “They were extremely fundamentally sound in all phases of the games.
They play the game like it was intended to be played.”
Nick Michalko led the Braves running attack carrying the ball 17 times for 77 yards. Johnson had eight carries for 23 yards and threw the ball 13-for-31 adding up to 172 yards and two touchdowns.
Powell led the Rockets running attack with 164 yards on 16 carries, with teammate Osborn running for 104 yards on nine carries.
Neiman found some positives for his team out of the loss.
“We really did a nice job with our 2-minute offense,” he continued. “We got two nice long drives that we scored off of late in the game. And I feel that we are in a good position for the sectionals. I hate to end the regular season with a loss but we got a good 6-1 record to build off of. We’re looking forward to the playoffs. We’re ready. Lets go.
