Grades 9-12 Pre-Season Practice Starts This Week
Message from Coach Welch via Braves Square:
All football players in grades 9-12 will begin practice Monday 8/23.
Attendance will be called at 7:15am in the Braves Field bleachers. We will be done with the day by 3pm.
We are now required to wear masks when we are inside the building. Everyone please bring a mask for our indoor activities (film, meetings).
Please bring food and plenty of water to eat and drink throughout the day during breaks.
Please wear the team gear that you purchased. If you did not purchase team gear, just wear braves gear that you have.

7th & 8th Grades
GRADE 8
Start Date: All 8th graders will start with the Freshman Team on Monday, August 30th
Time: 9am-11am (If you did not get your equipment at camp, please arrive at 8am)
Location: Canandaigua Academy Lower Fields
Team Selection Procedures:
All 8th graders will begin practice with the Freshman team.
After three days of practice, coaches will decide which team (Freshman or Modified) will best suit the development of each 8th grader.
Some 8th graders will be selected to play with the Freshman team while others will be selected to play with the modified team.
The 8th graders selected to play with the Freshman team will continue practicing at the Academy on the Freshman schedule. which will be 9-11am through Saturday 9/4.
The 8th graders selected to play with Modified team will report to practice on Thursday September 2nd at Evans Field at 9-11am, this will be the location and time through Saturday 9/4.
GRADE 7
Start Date: All 7th graders will start with the Modified Team on Monday, August 30th
Time: 9am-11am (If you did not get your equipment at camp, please arrive at 8am)
Location: Canandaigua Academy
Team Selection Procedures:
All 7th graders will play on the Modified team.
Also playing with the modified team will be 8th graders who the coaches have selected to participate on the Modified team.
After three days of practice at the Academy, the modified team will begin practice down at Evans Field on Thursday 9/2 through Saturday 9/4 9-11am.
MAD DOG CAMP (JV & Varsity)
Dates: August 27 & 28
Times: All day
Location: Camp Stella Maris, Livonia
Every invited player is transported to beautiful Camp Stella Maris on Conesus Lake. The players are fed and housed at camp. Players will be provided more information as the date gets closer.
